Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a hands-on and natural treatment which helps maintains and restores optimum movement and functional ability to our bodies.

Many of the physical problems you may experience can be caused by or manifest  through injury, disease, aging or environmental factors. If you experience pain or discomfort from any normal body movement or function you may be suffering from some form of injury.

Patrick Collins is fully qualified to make a complete assessment and formulate a treatment plan, which will be designed to cater for your specific needs. Your first consultation will consist of a thorough history taking and physical examination

Subsequent visits will include an evaluation of your progress. Where necessary, the treatment plan will be altered as a result. Therapy is never forced and is always designed to take account of you alone.

The number of treatments will depend on many factors including the severity of the problem, the length of time you have had the problem and your own rate of healing. Each treatment can take up to 60 minutes.

To assist your healing you will be shown remedial exercises that give you control over your own healing and will speed up the healing process .

You will be advised of precautions you should take to avoid recurrence of the injury.

Where necessary, you will be referred to your doctor.

If necessary, you may be asked to go for further investigation such as an X-ray, MRI, DXA scan, blood test etc.

Early treatment is important in order to minimise damage so call  for an assessment and treatment as soon as possible.

If you have any queries about your treatment, please do not hesitate to call.
