Gennie

I am a graduate of Surrey University in England where I attained a BA (Hons) Degree in 1992.

I subsequently studied with the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland and graduated with distinction in 2006.  My Licentiate Diploma was awarded in October 2006 by the Nanjing University International Training Centre, where I undertook my postgraduate training.  While in China, I studied with Dr Qiao Wenlei in the 454 Military Hospital.

I also hold Diplomas in TuiNa massage, Swedish Massage, Anatomy and Physiology and, I have been awarded many specialist certificates for additional courses attended.  These include Pregnancy and Childbirth with Debra Betts, Fertility with Jane Lyttleton and Jani White and Sports Injuries with Kevin Young to name a few.

I am a registered member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association and thus you can be assured of receiving a professional and ethical treatment.

As well as acupuncture, I use other forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine, such as Cupping therapy, electro-acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, heat therapy, massage and can issue children’s herbal formulas for common ailments.

Appointments are for 1 hour.  The first visit is mainly based on detailed history taking together with a treatment and subsequent treatments involve a short catch up and longer treatment. Acupuncture treatments are reimbursable if you have healthcare insurance with all main providers in Ireland.
